    V. Kurt Bellman Yes, I'm blunt! Get over your "feeeeelings".

    First, who and/or WHAT is "Coin trackers".

    Your coins are 1963-D.

    Here's the dealio from the current Mega-Red:
    The 1963-D cent is listed (retail) at grades 63RB,65,66,& 67RD.

    Watch what happens here.

    At MS-63RB, the RETAIL list is $0.15 or 15 cents.
    At MS-65RD, the RETAIL list is $0.30 or 30 cents.
    Now watch THIS.
    At MS-66RD, the RETAIL list is $100.00 or 100 DOLLARS!
    At MS-67RD, the RETAIL list is $350.00 or 350 DOLLARS!

    Think condition matters a little?

    Dillan The sky is the limit !

    I think $15 .00 for a 63 -D penny, possibly in the high MS 66,67 etc. 1963 for some reason just does not seem that long ago.

    While common, those are nice '63-D cents, and yes, Mint State.

    As to Cointrackers, I've heard the name and perhaps seen the site a time or two, but am generally unfamiliar with it and would tend to give Numismedia and the PCGS and NGC priceguides precedence, in terms of online references. I've never used Greysheet, personally.

    I learned to love school houses like that. Not because I attended many that looked like that, but rather because they make happy hunting grounds when one is metal detecting.

    LordM:

    When you are detecting around a school house, doesn't it bother you to think that the dime you find meant a kid went without milk some day in the past? You should make every effort to track down the owner of the lost coin and purchase a milk for him or her! :)

    One does think about it, but the good dimes were lost by kids who went on and lived their lives and have long since taken up residence in the cemetery. :)

    This one wasn't in a schoolyard, but you get the idea.

    This is CoinTrackers description ....

    " = = = = = = = =
    Numismatic Value: 1 cent to $15.00
    Value: As a rough estimate of this coins value you can assume this coin in average condition will be valued at somewhere around 1 cent, while one in certified mint state (MS+) condition could bring as much as $15 at auction. This price does not reference any standard coin grading scale. So when we say average, we mean in a similar condition to other coins issued in 1963, and mint state meaning it is certified MS+ by one of the top coin grading companies. [?].

    Additional Info: 3.07 million proofs were issued as proof 1963 pennies they are selling for up to $1.75 each.
    " = = = = = = = =

    Notice it states:
    - "mint state meaning it is certified MS+ by one of the top coin grading companies"
    - could bring as much as $15 at auction (in certified/slabbed condition)

    notice your cents
    - are not certified/slabbed by one of the top coin grading companies.

    I used to look at cointrackers but found their information was normally very vague and misleading. A brief summary at best and if read incorrectly would give misleading conclusions.

    Other than TPG websites, and specific error websites, I've found usacoinbook.com to be pretty good about general information.

    On a general note, just "asking google" does not give you a good results many times. I've seen results from Loan Companies telling you to check your pocket change and stuff because you could be a winner. Unreal !!
    for instance from advanceloan ?? LOL

    cointrackers is a website, probably built by a collector. Seems like an interesting site, but I couldn't tell you how accurate the values it provides are. For the 1963D cent, it says: "As a rough estimate of this coins value you can assume this coin in average condition will be valued at somewhere around 1 cent, while one in certified mint state (MS+) condition could bring as much as $15 at auction." So the OP isn't entirely accurate.
