Each has a composition of regulars and these more or less set the pace of the forum and this one is well balanced ( including the unbalanced ). If a forum becomes "possessed" by a bully or a group of bullies, the flavor will change, and the forum begins to rot from within. Newcomers to the "habit" usually don't know that a 1922 circulated Peace $ is usually worth just melt, or that old 1909 SVBD shouldn't have been scrubbed with a brillo pad to make it look nice, and the way the members reply often tells a lot about a forum.

Here I've noticed that when a truly sarcastic or possibly hurtful remark occurs, regulars call the person on it.
I post or lurk on several other coin forums and even a couple of stamp forums. Each has a composition of regulars and these more or less set the pace of the forum and this one is well balanced ( including the unbalanced :) ). In another forum, this doesn't always happen, the thread instead becomes a "dead zone". This board by far has the largest "range" of personalities from the cklassic TYPE A to the possibly clinical and the moderation by both the moderators AND the members is excellent. I have moderated a professional list and know how worrisome it can be. Cheers, Jim
