I was thinking the same thing, looks like a bell shaped curve.

    Wow,
I am glad to see a big presence of my age group of 21-30. I guess there are not as many old codgers on here as I thought.:D
Now if I can just learn as much as you "Old" guys

  8. Looks like the median (dividing line) is right around 40 or so. No surprises here. No worries about the future of Numismatics either. TC

There are more youngsters in this hobby than I thought. That's good news.

I'm 45, which puts me right about center mast on this bell curve but still young at heart!

Not exactly a bell curve :p. It's kind of odd how the voting went. I guess in a way it shows the history of collecting; in that, certain times saw much greater attraction to the hobby while others saw drop offs.

I think that the distribution more closely follows the curve of Disposable Income. It climbs as we enter adulthood but dips from age 30-50 before returning to higher levels.

The dips in DI being mostly due to buying homes and raising families at those ages.

I resent being grouped with people who are 30 years old. No offense. :)

Excellent observation! Thankfully I've got about eight more years of disposable income.
