My next door apt. neighbor is 99 soon to be 100 yrs. young. She still does NY Times crossword puzzles and keeps up on politics. There is also a 100 year young lady here that can carry on a conversation about any subject. Looks and speaks and walks like 80 yrs. Don't sell us fogies short you whippersnappers.:thumb:
looks like a pretty nice age distribution to me. My sterotypical thought would have had everyone over 50
Just threw my entry in. I'm 29. I thought this was the same poll that was done a couple months ago that I had already entered. Maybe it should be a sticky so there won't be another one two months from now? For a site that supposedly has 20,000 members, you would think there would be more than 165 entries. Where is everybody? Lets get this poll cranked up.
Will be 74 on Feb 7th. On those chronological versus biological age test, I average around 57. Probably a combination of genetics and having to pass the Army PT test every year until I was 60.
Just remember, the poll is only a representative sampling for CT forum members. And CT forum members are not really your typical coin collectors. It's pretty much an accepted fact that the typical coin collector is over 40 (usually a good bit over 40).
I agree with Doug in that computer-minded coin collectors will tend to be younger as they tend to be more a product of the "computer age"
That is true and the under 40 set is probably going to me more active on the internet. But still it is good to see.
I'm 29. I got my wife interested in the hobby, and she's 30. Also getting my kids into it and they're 12, 10 & 8.
I wrote a long response also until I realized that several of my early computer and telephone activities might still be under statue of limitations, so I deleted it. So let me just say don't underestimate the elderly, just keep a job so we can keep our SS!:mouth: Jim
That's right kids, keep working I want my money back also. :smile BTW, it was our generation that created that computer thingey:whistle: I didn't start working with PC's on a daily basis until 1981.
Hey, I see Doug finally voted in a poll! 91-100... Although I have met Doug, and I dont think he looks a day over 90.. Your holding up pretty good old man! LOL
