Man, I hate it when I have to move up a notch when selecting my age group (32 now). I don't mind getting older, but doing that makes me feel older. The fact that I just bought a minivan last week doesn't help either, lol
Hahah I like it a lot though. 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT with a 3.8l engine & lots of storage space. Great for hauling the dogs around, or random auction purchases. More signs I'm getting old: I like the gray hairs I'm finding, I'm a Freemason & a Shriner, I'm happier to stay in with my wife on Friday nights than going out to a club, I'm really enjoying my experience learning about coin collecting!!! In all truth though, I'm 10x happier now than I was in my 20's. I spent my 20's partying pointlessly (which was a lot of fun, but not fulfilling). Now I feel like I've grown up a lot, I know who I am, finally, and like who I am, and I'm really living and enjoying every minute (except for the paying of bills!) Back to the subject, I went to the Coinarama show today also, and saw a range of people there. The majority, I think, were young Boy Scouts. The other attendees did seem to be an older crowd. The dealers seemed to be a good mix ages to me.
My age group is still in the lead and as of yesterday I only have one year to stay in the 21-30 age group
Not trying to grave-dig threads or spam, but this is a very interesting set of data. It hasn't been touched since October, maybe newcomers would like to contribute to the poll? Seems like we've got a pretty well represented set of ages here at CT. I voted, although my age stratum is not in the lead (probably a good thing though... lol)
I started this year in the leading group and will end this year in the second leading age group... unless things change.. Yes it was my goal to bump this thread!
Relates more to forum usage than coin collecting itself. The younger generation tends to use forums at a far, far higher rate than the older generation.
