    Hey Jim,

Did you go today? I was there early and the place was kind of dead. Picked up my 'moderns' from Frank along with some Franklin halfs. Seemed to get a little more crowded when I left at 10:30........

I stopped by a show, but arrived slightly late so some dealers were already packing up and the pickings were slightly thin. The dealers I asked said that business was just ok and a little on the slow side. I still managed to pick up a number of things and to not empty the bank account (a 1916-s Mercury and some modern proof Ike, SBA & Sacajawea dollars and the only decent Roman in the room by the time I arrived was a Constantius II for $20, so I added that too). The first thing I bought was a 1942 Tombac beaver nickel - nothing valuable, of course (it was only $3), but something I've wanted to add to the collection for a while. Copper beavers r00l d00dz! :) Thanks again for posting the list of shows! I'm sure I'll go again.

I did go. was there around mid-day. Its a nice show. I wasnt looking for anything in particular, but my son was set on buying a few coins! His eyes lit up as he passed by tables of "really, really old" money! we walked around little and settled on a table along the back wall, i should have but didnt take note of the dealers. But my son went thru a box of pennies, and i told him he could get 10 for his new collection. then went thru a box of loose foreign coins, and picked out a few. The dealers, maybe a husband/wife team? were awsome with him, and i noticed that she was wearing a "massapequa coin club" shirt. so i asked her a little bit about the club, so i'm gonna look into going to a meeting. Have you ever been to it?

That's Tony and.........shoot, I forget his wifes' name, but they are great folks to deal with. I bought some nice Franklins from them earlier in the day. Tony was trying to get me to come to one of the meetings, as he said, visitors are most welcomed. I used to be a member but I let the membership lapse....great bunch of folks though, and they put on some really good presentations.
