Or does the collector think they&#039;ll show &#039;I know about coins so don&#039;t try to pull anything over on me&#039;?</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Don&#039;t get me wrong - that&#039;s why we have this forum.&nbsp; To share information among ourselves, be better informed, etc.&nbsp; I just don&#039;t understand what the newbie collector thinks they&#039;re doing w/the dealer. </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I&#039;ve seen this time and time again when I&#039;m at my local coin shop. People bring in their coins to sell but then start telling the dealer &#039;what the coins are&#039; - I just duck my head and think &#039;if you don&#039;t think the dealer knows the coin, how do you trust to sell it?&#039;&nbsp;&nbsp; But I always keep my mouth shut at shops and shows.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Fortunately I&#039;ve never been at any table or shop when I witnessed a dealer trying to take advantage of the collector by making the coin seem more valuable than it really is or anything like that.&nbsp; I guess it happens.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Anyway - just curious about the &#039;why&#039;.&nbsp; (the collector monologue about the coins).&nbsp; Any thoughts?[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
