Hello all, I am taking my home schooled YN (10) to the Georgia Numismatic Association Coin Show this Friday and want to make it an educational type of experience.

I am looking for a YN coin show scavenger hunt list of numismatic items to locate throughout the bourse. Things like common coins, currency, foreign, historical related, supplies, etc.... Maybe 15 to 20 things. Anyone know of a list on the interwebs?

    Thanks,

    CP

  4. Here are some non-numismatic items to look out for: Mustard stain on shirt, pot belly, oxygen tank, pocket protector, body odor, horned rim glasses, bad breath....just kidding! :D

You are a very good Dad! I used to take my son all the time. My advice would be to stop at every table and let each dealer know that this is his first show and that he is new to collecting. Many are quite generous and will often give out freebies to a YN. BTW: A fun activity is to see how many coins from different countries you can find.

    Enjoy the show, TC :)

To make it tougher: a non-matte (I.e. Not from a mint set) MS 2009 nickel or dime.

Don't forget about Ancient coins. How about one from Macedonia with Alexander III on the obverse. You might teach him a fact or two about Alexander The Great prior to the show.
