The thing is, I still believe that its a DDO, but that the doubling on the nose, chin, forehead, rear feather, and cord in hair has been very worn just like the rest of the coin. If you look at the cord in the hair nearest the date, on the DDO it is significantly thicker overall due to the doubling than that of a normal 1916. I believe the cord on mine is thicker than a normal one. I can also see the bump on the chin where the doubling ends/begins on mine. And on the DDO the right side of the rear feather is flatter than that of the normal 1916. I think mine fits the bill. I will delve into it a little deeper in a couple of days.
