There are technological solutions to the problem of crowding, a cattle prod or a taser would clear them out quickly, but may cause problems for those using them. How about bringing along a supermodel or a beefy and intimidating bouncer to move the crowds out of the way so you can carry on business?
I will admit it was a somewhat snarky comment. I was a little peeved. I shouldn't have done that, it wasn't her fault but it was late in the day, it was the third time I had waited to be helped, and I simply wasn't interested in buying from them any more. You are right though, I was in the wrong as well.
I hear you, Chris. It's always worse for me because I'm a small guy and quiet and too patient at times. That sometimes means I never get close enough to a dealer's table to begin with. The last show I attended I was getting a bit miffed by people sitting at display cases with their laptop case and books and sheets spread out all over the counters so nobody else could even see what was in them. The dealers even seemed upset about this, but not once did I hear any of them say anything. So, like you, my pocket full of cash walked on. Of course, to be fair, 99% of the people there are usually well mannered and courteous, but that other 1% can be a real pain. Guy
Well sir, if it helps its not really any better if you are bigger. I am 6'3" and 240 and there is always a bigger or a crazier guy it seems.
