I just went to the Long Beach show, and I can't believe that it is all that much different from other large shows. Upon getting my lanyard, they also handed me a bag with advertising and stuff in it. After throwing away the extraneous stuff, I had a rather large bag to put stuff in. At small shows, they normally don't have bags to hand out, but I notice most people are carrying something (bag or case or...). As to where to place it while looking at a dealer's table, it is bad manners to place it on a display case since this restricts what other potential customers can look at. However when handed a box of coins to check, the dealer normally puts them on the case, and mostly a second box to put the coins into after you have checked them. This restricts other people from seeing into the case where the boxes are placed, but I can't help that. If standing, I place my bag on a chair. If sitting I place my bag on the floor or on my lap. Never had anyone to complain.

BTW, at Long Beach I saw Charmey The Penny Lady and she said to say HI.
