I was hoping someone actually visited one of these coin/pawn shops and could recommend one.

If you find it necessary to visit a pawn shop in Las Vegas, it's time to leave Las Vegas!

The Venetian has an ancient coin store in it. Its overpriced, and designed for non-collectors, but still its neat to go see. The same store is in Caesar's.

There used to be a coin store inside the Riviera not too far from you.

I suggest the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop. Ask for Rick.

Check out Sahara Coin. It is one of the largest, serious, nicest coin shops with tons of inventory I have ever been in and worth the cab fair. Last time I went it was 30 bucks for the cab, but pretty worth it. I took the bus back to the strip for two dollars. It is some miles up Sahara Ave which intercepts the strip at the Stratosphere. Just my pick!

Are you going to buy coins or supplies? I get some of my supplies at Sahara Coin . Its on Sahara Avenue & Tenaya across from St Joseph Husband of Mary Catholic Church. Most of the coin shops you'll find in the yellow pages are predominantely pawn shops and not really dealing in coins.

I'm going there to gamble but can't gamble all day. I just started collecting for 2 months and I'm kinda hooked on it. I figure a good way to take a break from the gambling is to visit a local coin shop (hopefully with winnings!!).
