but not really hunting. Rolled up my piggy banks last weekend. I thought it was interesting to see the distribution. I didn't bother with anything past the eagle reverse design. Stacked by decade: 1960's 10, 1970's 15, 1980's 26, 1990's 34. Two bicentennial quarters still circulating, despite them being worth $10 million or whatever that nonsense is. Lots of 1960's quarters still kicking around after almost 60 years.

This is the only one I'll keep. It jumped out at me because of the amazing luster and sharp reeds. Has kind of a matte finish look to it. Must have been sitting in a roll for a long time.
1986-D_25c.jpg Maybe this one will pop up in an error forum again someday. "Polished" by a garbage disposal I'd guess. Into the roll it went. 2005_25c_PMD.jpg $100 in quarters out of one little piggy, $22.50 from two little piggy. Takes about a year to fill them up. The nice beer store owner lady cashes them for me.

I save and roll all my change all year and carry it to the bank in December. Last year was just north of $250.00. I carried it in an ammo can because the change was so danged heavy. It didn't occur to me until later why some folks in the bank were giving me the stink eye.

I have done that, the next time I took the lid off.
Here is one of my banks. It's a Johnny, you pull the flusher and the coins go down the drain.
