Wow, what a picture! I say let's all move to Hawaii! Wait a minute, this has to be coin-relevant. Wow, what a picture! I say give me all your coins and let's move to Hawaii!
The only place i'd figure the market could (or should) go bust would be in the Modern Coins. How much can the market take with the glut of MS-69/70 coins out there? With some of them, it would seem better to just obtain the coins with the original packaging.
It's way too easy to say "Modern Coins". That's the stock phrase. However, some will do quite well and others will not. In a down market or a correction, I suspect the microscopic error coins will hurt as well as those moderns that are expensive on less than solid grounds (the 2001-S Sac, 1970-D Kennedy come to mind). But this could be applied to any time period of coins. Once again, a great buying opportunity, if you guess right!
Platinum for deisel converters and palladium for gas I think. The real money will probably be in whatever the hybrid batteries are made of and copper for the windings in the motors that drive electric cars. Also junkyards as people are fixing rather than buying new. Or just buy coins! Just my 3c (silver). I approve this message.
