My advice to you is, if you're strictly in a bidding situation, you do NOT want to be the guy sitting there, currently winning it as time ticks down. You will lose at least 90% of the time on nice stuff such as this. If it's something obscure with not a lot of attention, ok. When people are not winning, and they have time to think about it, emotions take over and they will bid it up at the last second and beat you. That's how the game works. You're only making yourself pay more if you don't wait until the very last second to bid. Because at that point, you could possibly beat out somebody who didn't know you were even there. If you enter it with an hour left and it's just sitting there at that price, somebody will come in and beat you. (1 to 2 seconds left). Then walk away. You don't have to be there for when the auction ends. It does what you could do if you were sitting there. I've done it both ways and this method works well. Granted, you will not have time to get a second bid in, so give it all you got to clear out whoever is currently winning at the end. This isn't a 100% successful method but you will win many more auctions. If you really want to get dirty, use bidsniper. ;) Sorry sellers. Enter the auction number, your highest bid, and when you want it to bid for you. (1 to 2 seconds left). Then walk away. You don't have to be there for when the auction ends. It does what you could do if you were sitting there. I've done it both ways and this method works well. Again, don't even bother bidding until the very end. Somebody will almost always justify paying more to beat you if you're sitting there with the current high bid towards the end.[/QUOTE]
