Coin has a double dye

guys I need your help on this one coin this has a double dye on the 5

Looks plated. Could be a plating issue.

By the way, the correct terminology is Doubled Die not double dye

Would this be your coin? I don't think it's plated. But what I see around the 5 could be a Die issue of some sort. But still not doubling.

 

Yes it is the coin ....should I hang onto it could it be worth something because of this issue?

 

Not really. It's a minor issue. Not a Major Mint error. It's not a desirable error. This is my opinion though.
