    In my opinion, a label such as "English occupation" is quite arguable as the Anglo-French relations were a little more complex then. And "longest war" ... keep in mind that this was not a period of continuous war preceded and followed by periods of peace. (As for England, Wars of the Roses anyone?) But that coin sure is a beautiful piece. :)

    Wow, beautiful coin. And as chrisild mentions above, occuation possibly not quite the right term but I'm fairly certain that the French may have seen it more that way than the English. I believe we saw it as colonisation with several generations of English born in France.
