Herod Antipas, Tetrarch of Galilee and Perea (4 BC - 39 AD), rebuilt Sepphoris, the capital of Galilee, and had his first capital there. Only one of his coin types is known to be struck there. Later, he constructed Tiberias (named in honor of his patron, Tiberius) on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee, and moved his capital there. Judaea, Herodian Kingdom.
