    Hello again,

As many of you recommended, I started a new thread re: the VA quarter that I found during a coin roll hunting.

I am new to the numismatic, and just trying to understand if it is worth keeping this quarter or just spending it.

    Thank you in advance!

PS: in the previous post I attached the half dollar because of its beautiful toning (I wasn't really able to capture that in the pic). I am keeping that even if it is worthless, but I was curious if it has actually some worth or not.
    Thank you again.

The Quarter is considered an Off-Center Strike (Evidence is on both sides). Keeper.

Slightly off-center and definitely a keeper. Cool :)

The half looks toned to me. Not worth anything extra, but I like to keep them anyways.

That's a nice off Centered Quarter. The half is beautifully toned. Both keepers.

    Welcome to CT.

Not an off-center. First question, is the edge reeded? If it is then it is just mis-aligned dies (admittedly on both sides and I think it is unlikely as it would be difficult to impossible to have the anvil die that far off.) If the edge is not reeded then it is an uncentered broadstrike. It isn't an off-center because none of the design is missing.

Good job.. Thanks for the correction. I must of needed coffee at that moment I posted.

    I agree. Uncentered Broadstrike.

Thanks to everyone for all the useful tips, I sincerely appreciate your guidance and experience!
In the end, I decided to keep the toned one and get rid of the Uncentered one. How, I don't know yet.

The brockage has some value, probably a few bucks, so don't spend it. The toned half is worth face value. Keep it if you like it, but no great loss of it gets spent IMO.

Wrong choice so why not keep both?

What brockage? Did I miss something?

You are right. I think I will keep both then. Thank you all!
