It does not contain the currently-required word &#039;LIBERTY&#039; nor the mandated mottoes &#039; IN GOD WE TRUST&#039; and &#039;E PLURIBUS UNUM&#039;. This beautiful coin just would not look the same once these elements are added. My guess is the eagle would have to be shrunk down quite a bit to include these elements which would ruin the effect. </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Where would we squeeze in &#039;IN GOD WE TRUST&#039; on the Buffalo nickel? It was packed in (in small type) under the Buffalo&#039;s head on the $50 American Buffalo gold bullion piece. This cluttered look ruins the effect IMO. My other choices include all the mandated design elements but some of the other posters&#039; choices do not. </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Trying to reinstate old coin designs is a bit like building a classic car today. Can you imagine a Duesenberg with modern bumpers? Or a 1964 GTO with anti-smog equipment?
