    THIS!

Most everyone has some particular interest that is not common to everyone else. Whether that is tattoos, soccer, music, martial arts, whatever. That is what makes human beings interesting in the first place. I have never had any problems whatsoever in relating this particular obsession to anyone else and it comes up all the time for me, as it is my career as well as my passion.

The trick, in my opinion is to find out a little about the other person first, find out some of their interests, which will always be something they share willingly because they are passionate about that subject and then relate your collection to that. If the person is artsy, you can play up the aesthetic value of the coins, if they are conservative and business oriented, play up the investment angle, if they are intellectual, you have the historical angle, etc.

    Everyone is weird and different.
