Hi Neil and to CoinTalk. I think all of us will be interested in seeing the responses to your survey. Perhaps you will find it so interesting that you'll become a collector too. :) Here are my responses: Q1. My primary collection consists of Japanese coins from 1867 to the present, but I also have a one coin per country collection, and several specific topic collections, such as brass coins, bids on coins, etc. Q2. I primarily store/display circulated coins in 2"x2" cardboard holders with mylar windows, in three-ring binders, 20 to a page. Uncirculated and all gold coins are kept in protective plastic holders, with pictures of them at the appropriate places in the albums. Everything is kept in a well-hidden safe with copious amounts of silica gel. Q3. My primary collection is displayed in date order within denominations. The OFEC is in country order and if there were multiple governmental regimes, they examples are in date order within the country. My speciality collections are in sequences appropriate to each collection. Q4/5. If you are referring to problems integrating new acquisitions into existing albums, I generally leave space for items I intend to acquire in the future, but frequently have to completely rearrange specialty collections.
