Hi everyone, I started searching rolls of pennies and nickles in 1969 as a teen looking for a couple of well known varieties then. Never found them but I did put together a couple of whitman book collections. My first of many over the years. I have learned a lot since those early years and am learning so much everyday now. Totally love this addictive hobby. To me, there's just something about the Linclon cent. I've searched all the other denominations and put together circulated sets but nothing thrills me more or keeps me in this hobby than the little throw away penny. Also, hey Rock Trap, I can truly relate. Sounds just like my house. "honey, I need my dining room table back. Please clean up the coin stuff"....Lol. My wife is used to it after 34 years and appreciates my steadfastness with it. In fact, when I do find a great find she will get genuinely excited with me and for me.
hasfam....how about it.....I get that...clean up the kitchen table...or you got coin magazines all over the house...hahahhaaaa
My wife is always saying "Nothing has changed in that magazine since the last time you read it..." I've been trying to memorize as many rare dates/types as I can to facilitate mentally sorting the cherries without having a price guide with me. She gets tired of having me shuffling around the house and will actually kick me out to go look at coins. How cool is that?
