Your question is really about apples and oranges, but there is a solution out there as referenced by mloy.

The solution below combines the safety of air-tites with the availability of albums. It works for all coins up to the Prez Dollar (any coin that fits into the 'A' type air-tites). In addition, it uses Dansco albums, so it will match your other albums (if you use Dansco!)

I use it religiously and I really don't understand why it's not more "popular".

Wow! Thanks alot everyone. :bow: That idea for Lincoln Cents is great, and I think I'll do that eventually for my own Lincolns.

What I need to do now is figure out how to drill holes(?) in the sizes I need to fit the airtites that I have my Korean coins in in a Dansco (or whatever) board. I'll try to contact them.

ALso, to Boss: If the air-tite albums are made out of PVC, does that matter? After all, the coins themselves are in the airtites, and therefore protected from any PVC in the album...right?

And I'm one that disagrees with that completely. I've been coin collecting for well over 60 years. I have over 100 Whitman Albums and almost all full. Of course each one is in a Zip Lock Bag. I've got coins from when I was a kid in them and they still look the same as the day I put them there. I've also got coins in 2x2's, plastic rolls, etc. But I'm an Album person and have never had a problem with a coin in an album. If an album is OK for over 60 years, that is good enough for me.

 

I am currently putting all of my coins into Coin World Slabs. They are the ones that you can buy from Amos Press. I really like them better then albums. Plus I tink they take up alot less space then albums.

I had some problems getting the coin in them the fist time but now it is really easy to do.

I would recommend them to anyone.
