its not my frustrations towards their store hours,
I have no problem with that..I just wanted to wonder
why most coin stores are closed on sundays...

my frustration was with the coin dealer
who was not very knowledgeable and
I over-reacted...that is why im going there
on saturday and see what I can find...
yes..Richarrb...I should just go with the flow...

Im on a coin shopping binge...coz
u never know when the economy will get better
and everything else goes back up in price again..

I'm kind of in a hurry to finish my barber halves collection...hehe

I figured something like that. But how does one come up with 50 for Morgan dollars or Silver Eagles?

    Pilkenton almost uncirculated

The shop by my house is open on Sunday, but he only displays a few things. He keeps the rest in the safe and won't go in there until Monday, when more people are working.

As for the Morgan And Silver Eagles...I really want to collect at
least 50 ms 64 morgan and at least 50 silver eagles proof or uncirc
pretty much for bullion purposes..of course its worth more
since its either in pcgs or ngc holders...but u get the idea lol

the barber halves are for collecting (raw/key date slabs) in album
and the modern halves are good for investing
since a whole lot of them have low mintages...

that's my theory on my coin collection hehe=)

Hey, sounds good! I was just wondering :)

I have two Morgan collections I'm working on ...

Raw Morgans (mostly AU or better) 63/99
    MS64 Morgans or better 31/99

The 99 is for each year / mm and a few varieties.

    Leadfoot there is no spoon

While it always saddens me to hear of such shoddy customer service....

That sounds like a place I might like to shop at. They might not have any idea of the real value of the coins they have and an opportune buy may present itself....if I were inclined to do such a thing, of course. ;) :)

What dealers do you go to?
I like McBrides and Village myself.

I've been wanting to check out Village but wasn't aware of McBrides, so I guess I'll check them out too. I haven't actually purchased any of my dollars from local shops. Most have come via Teletrade or coin shows.

McBrides is a larger store of guns and stuff with coin department attached and get this...2 women work the counters..no men!! lol Just a weird point but it's cool with me.
I've seen some nice stuff in there from time to time.

Village has nice stuff but it's usually in the back so just ask for what your looking for.

Let us know what you think.
