[CLOSED] Quarter Notes Giveaway #1 (counterstamped quarters)

We need to do a drawing and get the first lot of these shipped off, so we can move on to the next one. Bear with me- I'm just back in from off the road after going to a family funeral in NC, unfortunately. Back to work tonight. I'll try to get on it soon.

 

It was a nice service, and I took a day afterward to hang in my best friend's Asheville, NC coin shop (picked up some nice goodies, both for my collection and for future swapstock/giveaway inventory). I also stopped in Columbia, SC, on the way home, and had a nice brief lunch with @Randy Abercrombie, who (whom?) I had not previously met in person.

All would be OK, if I hadn't thrown my back out while I was going up some stairs in NC. Ow.

Here's hoping the "wait a few days for it to get better" therapy works, though that seems less effective now that I'm getting older. Might have to go to a chiropractor.

 

It's gonna take me months to work up and photograph and list and all that good stuff, I'm afraid. If I had a week's vacation to devote to coin stuff alone, and wasn't working full time... maybe.

I feel bad now that I squandered so much of the three-month paid "vacation" I had during quarantine, this time last year. I should have done so much more with it. Should have spent less time reading and watching movies and more working on my collection and coin inventory.

For my personal collection, while in Asheville, I traded away what was my current most valuable coin (a medieval gold piece), but ended up with two US gold coins of similar value! Pics to follow of those, when I get the time.
