    I would like to have that... ("want" is such a strong word).
    I recently purchased an old "East German duffel bag" on eBay, and I found a small pocket in the bottom, sewn by hand. Inside the tiny pocket were 6 aluminum alloy coins, totaling 95 pfennig, all from the Deutsche Demokratische Republik (East Germany) and dated from 1958 to 1968.
    If I get around to it, I snap a photo.

    Sorry. I have such a warped sense of humor I will not inflict it upon you. How about a coin story. I've wanted an Athenian tetradrachm since I was a just a snot nosed geek in high school. Recently, I took the plunge and got two of them! The coin and history geek in me just pings when I hold one. What hair I have left stand straight up!

    I want that!

    My first coins my grandma gave me in an old bank bag and little old leather pouch. She was a smart lady because the coins were silver Franklins, maybe a Kennedy or two. I bet if her life had been a little different she would have been a coin collector too. She got me started. Thank you! ❤

    Hi, @Loretta Schultz, and welcome to CoinTalk! I used moderator powers to edit out the “I want that” in your second reply, so you wouldn’t be doubled up and disqualified for making two entry posts.

    I saw the difficulties you had in posting. This was not your fault- it is a spam countermeasure built into the forums. You see, all new members go through a probationary period (I think it’s ten message board posts). During that time, the stuff you post does not appear on the forums until it has been vetted by a moderator first. So your replies were just hung up in the limbo of the moderation queue.

    This is a temporary issue, and goes away once you have passed through the probationary period. After that, you will be able to post normally, without having to wait for all your posts to be approved.
