    Now we come to...

    ROUND 4.

    The prize is a Roman antoninianus of the emperor Gallienus, struck between 260 and 268 AD. Interestingly, this is one of his "zoo series", which featured a variety of animal reverses (in this case, a doe- which I'm afraid is difficult to make out in the photo below). The reverse inscription honors the goddess Diana.

    Perhaps our ancient coin experts can chime in with further information about this coin.

    To enter this round, all you need to do is:

    1. Say that you want it, and
    2. A word or two about why you want it or what you like about it.

    If you do not want the coin for yourself, you may enter on someone else's behalf. Simply name the person you would like to have it if your entry wins the drawing.

    Then, sometime in the next 1-3 days or so, we'll do the drawing and move on to the next round. This round is open for entries until such time as I announce the drawing.
