    A Beauty!
One of my favorite CWT's. (That I still don't own)
I always remember my grade school history hint ( I think 4th grade ) of how to remember which was which of the Ironclads, North and South.

The Monitor is spelled with an N in it and the Merrimac is not. So the Monitor is from the North.

That’s a cool mnemonic. Purists would insist, however, that the Confederate ship was the CSS Virginia and not the Merrimac (which was the name of the captured Union vessel whose hull the Confederates used to build the Virginia).

And alas, there is no “S” in Virginia. But the two “M” names do kinda work.

Good luck. It's all good, as long as you haven't entered the contest here already. Anyone can enter up until the time I post the results of the drawing, which might be in the wee hours (Eastern US time). Unless I get to it in the next hour and a half before it's time to go to work. But first I'll be writing the draft of the next giveaway (#71).

See what those teachers did? Oh my.
But I guess I'm so old they didn't update our history book.
    I'm so embarrassed LOL
It will be difficult to get that out of my head after more than 55 years.

The great and wonderful Wiki states this though.

Ain't Wikipedia fantastic? Don't feel bad. I too learned "Monitor vs. Merrimack" in school.

When I was a kid, I was given a great plastic model kit that had both ships in the box. Two in one! It was wonderful.

*It should also be noted that I failed to include the final "k" in Merrimack in my earlier spelling. ;)

Wow...! With not having a smartphone or mobile Internet I don't/can't always check my computer or email everyday so maybe this reply is a bit belated on a late Monday night...I'm overwhelmed, Lord M...and THANK YOU...!

(Indeed, me, too...whether "mine" or a competitor's...:woot: "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.")

Looks great. I have seen quite a few of these coins.
When I was 12 I ran awY from home on my birthday in May. I would sometimes ride the rails to the next town. I observed some of the people in the railcar working on them. Most told me quarters were too big and Dimes and pennies(cent) were too small. I am 76 now and one of the last guys I knew just passed and he was 91.

I'll acquiesce to it being a good story. Now if he said he joined the circus, THAT would have been a cool story ;)

@Mac McDonald - it is mailed.

Here’s the 22-1/2 cents you will receive.

One very spooky (but just readable) 1800 Draped Bust half cent. Wretched, but hey- it’s an 1800 half cent!

One 1852 Braided Hair large cent. Just “honest wear”. Decent.

Two Buffalo nickels (1923 & 1925) in Littleton envelopes.

    One 1926 Mercury dime.

One Type 1 Lord Marcovan elongated Wheat cent (yours will be the unholed variant, unlike the one in the photo).
