    No, not mean. He gets treats a lot without waiting. In fact, each night going to beddie bye he gets a treat or he won't go in his area. He has me trained. I only do this sometimes to get him to both not be so darn anxious/flaky at being touched but also to have him work for things. Dogs like to work for things, makes them feel good about themselves.
