@potty dollar 1878 - your wooden dollar is ready to go now, and will ship tomorrow. I've just been kinda busy since I got back from vacation.

    Splendid.

Well, then, these two are both yours now. Do please send me your shipping address in a PM.

Nice picks. I'm a fan of inexpensive oldies, myself. You got yourself quite a bit of history here for your 25 bucks. Well done.

Spain: copper 2-maravedis of Ferdinand V of Aragon & Isabella I of Castile, ca. 1474-1504

French States (Château-Renault): copper double-tournois of François de Bourbon, ca. 1603-1605

Aha! You've already got one, then. (I never remember who I've sent them to.)

OK, I'll see what else I can find that'll be fun. I think I can dig up your address again, though if you've got a sec to send it to me in a new PM, that would be better, since then we'll have a new conversation about this shipment in particular.

So I gather from your new avatar that you bought that '53-O A&R quarter, eh, Paddy? Nice pickup, as I said in our text conversation. Sweet CircCam.

I got to see The Clash, as a warmup band to The Who. And David Bromberg warmed up The Clash. It was a great concert in probably the most awful venue I've ever been to. Shea Stadium in Queens NY. Basically in the crosshairs between JFK and LaGuardia Airports. The jet noise was beyond bearable. That was back in 1982.

And yet I returned for another concert there decades later. I got to see Billy Joel with guest appearance by none other than Paul McCartney. For this concert air traffic was re-routed to avoid the jet wash. Now this was an epic show.
