Entry post. I found another light weight 1970 quarter. Found 2 so far. I would like some thing ancient for my grand daughter Capri. @Deacon Ray got her started. Now we’re buying books instead of coins

I think I really like that 1964 proof Roosevelt. That would be my choice if I’m lucky enough to be the winner.

Unfortunately I haven’t come across any good coins lately, but I’m still looking!

Good luck indeed! I am always interested to see what our European friends turn up out of the ground!

I hope you find a bracteate or goldgulden or something Roman!

    Maybe a nice big taler!

I have never entered before. Thanks for this great idea, and your kind generosity.

Should I win, can I designate it to a young collector or a new collector?

I like the China Tang Dynasty (my favorite dynasty of China), as well as the Tessera.

I enjoy the Art of the Tang Dynasty (618-907 CE), especially their interpretation of the Tang Horse...

Tessera and a cool mystery as to their specific intended actual use. Mine may had been a gambling or gaming token.

Thanks, Brian! Yes, of course. If you win, you may select a prize and have it shipped to whomever you choose, or, if your designated giftee is a forum member, you may transfer the win to them, inform me of that, and let them choose for themselves.

I encourage that, in fact. If any of you don't feel like entering the contest on your own behalf, but know someone you'd like to gift one of the prizes to, well, then go ahead and enter, by all means!

If and when you win, the prize becomes yours and you may do with it whatever you please. You may have it sent to someone else of your choice. Or you could even sell it without hard feelings from me, though my main reason for offering a "pick your own prize" option is to give everyone a better chance of getting something they really want.

Entry Post - leaving for the ocean, so I had to get this in early. Spent better part of an hour looking for a sand dollar picture to post, that would be coin related, yes? This was the closest I could find. DSCF1172.JPG

This is one of a set of 6 Hungarian restrikes I purchased last week. ca 1965. Mintage around 1000 pieces.

If I win I will use my item for a numismatic fundraiser for the local club....whenever we meet again.
