Please count me in for the Roman Empire: ca. 318-320 AD bronze Æ17 of Licinius II, camp gate, Heraclea mint:

Why? I'll reiterate my story from last giveaway: Because it would commemorate a great spring event that I took part in. This past April 2024, my wife and I volunteered to help excavate at the Roman Vindolanda Fort, near Hadrian's wall in northern England. It was a great two weeks of work, digging up a 3rd/4th Century Roman Fort, finding walls, roads, pottery, jewelry, and yes, even Roman Coins!!! Unfortunately, they wouldn't let us keep any of the coins we found, so this would be a nice commemorative of the time I spent there. And, this actually looks like one of the coins that were found while we were there (the one I found was too mucked up with mud to identify, and they didn't want us to clean them)!

Here's one thing that I did find, that you can probably see at the Vindolanda Museum! It's a 4th Century metal and glass Brooch. And, the clasping mechanism on the back was still in tact, and operable! It's dirty in this pic, but they'll clean it up before putting it in the museum. I hope to go back and see it there some day!

Thanks again for the contest @lordmarcovan!
