Entry post for the Korean student (I forget his name) for the Spanish Real coin he wanted. Please convert my current request to this fellow's coin if my number gets drawn. Why? Because it's the season of giving, and I think he'd be happy with having it, especially if he wins it without his actual number getting chosen. Best of luck, to... Dongdong? I think that was his name.

I'll enter this one. I'd like the Greek bronze Phrygia at the top if you call my number. I just dabble in ancients and am still not very educated on them but I like them.
This Corinth stater I picked up earlier in the year is getting lonely. Thanks for such a cool and easy, ongoing contest! Great prizes!

Nice! That's a "must have" ancient coin type, I reckon. It has been a while since I had one. I sold this one. Need to get another one of these days.

Thanks again for the great contest. My dogs would like me to select the Antonius Pius Denarius. Stumbled upon his column walking at night in Rome with my wife after some drinks. Love that city.

The following ancient coins are new additions to the Giveaway Gallery- and there are more new prizes yet to be added soon (including several more US silver dollars).

So if any of you who have already posted would prefer one of these new prizes more than the one you originally spoke up for, that's fine- you'll get the opportunity to change your prize pick at the end, should you happen to win the drawing.

Keep an eye on the Giveaway Gallery for new additions through the month of December. :)

Seleucid Empire: ca. 114-95 BC bronze Æ18 of Antiochus IX Cyzicenus, Eros/Nike

    Entry post for 96 Morgan!
I'm still very much liking the idea of having one in my pocket while walking around and flipping it back and forth..
Again its my inner Cowboy dream:D

    Thank you lordmarcovan!

The 1921-S Morgan in the two-coin silver dollar lot would be a better pocket piece candidate (you could wear some of the dishwater mottled toning off of it). And it would come with an additional 1935 Peace dollar that already did time as a pocket piece, and has thus been “broken in”!

Just a suggestion. But you do you. ;)

You got me sold on that idea!
Sounds a lot better and makes perfect sense.:)

I'm entry posting for the "two-coin-silver-lot now"
    Thank you!!!!!

I would like to enter Rob. I'd go for the pair of silver dollars. I've been fascinated with them since I was in grade school, many, many, many years ago. I still have 2 of those original dollars in a neat leather pouch I got around the same time in South Dakota visiting relatives.

I can't say which coin in the Giveaway Gallery I like the best, but I can say my three favorites are the Ionian 1/12-stater, the rechenpfennig, and the Löbau porcelain. I've never owned a Greek ancient, and while the German porcelain issues have interested me for a long time, I've never bought one. The rechenpfennig is a little more aligned with my collection as it stands right now.

Happy holidays, and thanks again to @lordmarcovan for the contest!

It so happens that I have a second gilt Lobau porcelain medal, which is of the same basic type as the one currently listed, only in white porcelain instead of brown.

The seller sent it to me by mistake when I ordered the brown one. When I contacted him, he told me to keep the white one (for which I currently haven’t done a writeup yet), and is sending me the brown one I originally ordered- for free! So I unexpectedly got two for the price of one. (Kudos to Dr. Landsberg of Ephesus Numismatics.)

I slightly prefer the look of the brown one, but I believe the white one is actually worth more. It has a $65 USD price on the flip. I’ll try to get around to doing the writeup on it and add it too to the Giveaway Gallery soon.

I’ve had- and given away- one Meissen porcelain coin previously, but it was smaller and lacked the gilt highlights these larger Lobau pieces have. They’re quite impressive, really.

Wow, lots of posts for that '96 Morgan. I'm gonna cross my fingers it's still there when I get another vote lol!

If it isn’t, I have an even nicer one in the pipeline. It simply hasn’t been added to the Giveaway Gallery yet, as of this post, because I’m probably going to offer it as a potential option for @expat’s contest, first (since I’m the designated shopper for that).
