LordM Giveaway #116 (pick your prize)

    Contest status: CLOSED
    Drawing: (@KBBPLL won)
    Shipped: 5 October 2024
    Winner's receipt: pending

    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Hello, everyone, and welcome to the latest giveaway. This will be another one of my "pick your prize" contests, so you can hopefully win something you'll like.

    To enter:

Select a prize of your choice from my Giveaway Gallery, and post an entry post stating your prize preference. For your entry to qualify, you must state a prize selection and say why you chose what you did. (Unless you're entering on someone else's behalf, in which case they will get to pick the prize later.) Your choice need not be final. Since I do periodically add new prizes to the Giveaway Gallery, you'll be given a chance to change your mind later if you win the drawing. I just like to hear the initial selections up front, since it gives me an idea of what folks like.

Click the pic to go to the gallery.

The drawing will be done via random number generator sometime on or after the date mentioned at the top of this post. The timing will depend on my schedule. You may consider the contest open for entries until such time as I have posted the final result of the drawing.

Totally free: the contest is free of charge, open to everyone, with free worldwide shipping. The only further requirement is that if you win...

Please post a receipt in this thread after you get the prize, so we'll know you got it (that helps me keep track).

    Good luck!

    Numismatic regards,

    ~Robertson ("Rob") Shinnick ("LordM")

This contest is brought to you by Harper, who has been missing about a week as of this typing. Hopefully she'll return home safely.

Not my post. Just saying that Harper is being watched from someone from above. Hopefully she'll come home from being a rebel and learn her lesson. :)

Well, I suppose I'll be the first to enter.

    Entry Post:
As today is my birthday, maybe this will be the lucky number... If so, I think I might go with the 1/2-real, since I don't have a Spanish 1/2-real yet.
Thanks @lordmarcovan for the awesome giveaway!

I would like to enter again for the 1896 Morgan Dollar.
I always like the Morgan Dollar design and long history of the design. Thanks for the contest!!!

I thought I would share a coin of Moses with the water coming from the rock.

I would love the 1896 Morgan Dollar.
I know a lot of people like them with toning, but I am attracted to the white or mostly white examples of large coins like this, so this is wonderful. It looks like one that would be carried in 1896 or shortly after, rather than one that has sat for a long time getting very colorful. Plus, a really good looking Morgan is always welcome in my books!!!

Wishing that Harper comes back soon.

I'd like the Spanish 1/2 reale please. LordM, that's where you come in.

I would like to enter for the 1830 Capped Bust Dime. I like the dime because early American coinage intrigues me. 1830 would fall in the time people would still remember the Revolutionary War. 1812 was not too far back, either. 1830 was a little before the most tumultuous years for the new country.

I keep tryin, missed that last one by 1 spot.
I'd like to win that 1896 Morgan.
I don't have that year in my small silver dollar collection and it is a great looking coin.
Thank you very much for the contest. :)

Entry post. Unlucky 13, so my good luck may be in the balance here. I will try again for the ancient Roman with old tags. Here is a coin from someone whose luck was not so good. Her Husband Philip I was killed in battle, and, as was the way back then, her Son, Philip II, who was next in line to be Emperor, was killed by the Praetorian guard while she still held him in her arms. She survived and lived on in obscurity.

I'm in, my 2 cents worth of advice is that I should go for the 2 cent piece. I need a nice problem free example for the hoard. Thank you LordM

If I win, I’d choose the pair of Seated Liberty dimes. My intent would be to share these with a young numismatist I’m helping with his coin collecting merit badge.
Thank you as always for running these contests!

You’re supposed to also state why you chose what you did (note the red text in the intro), but since you’re new, I’ll let you slide on that, and count your entry. ;)

    Good luck, and welcome! :)

As with last month’s contest, I’ll give you an extra entry with this post, to improve your son’s odds a tiny bit. Good luck! :)
