I would post a bigger picture of it. However, it is put up at my grandparent's house as I am in the process of moving to TN.

Hey there @DorkNerd - You should post photos of your coin on the Ancient Coin forum here at CoinTalk so that all our Ancient experts can see it. Whatever it is and wherever it is from, I sure am liking it!

Not an entry post, since I won in the past and want to see others win. My prize included a Maria Theresia Taler and I think I’m going to start seriously looking into collecting Talers. So much so that I bought this book to start learning. Cheers to everyone offering prizes!

    Entry post. :)

Today I received this 1815 Magdalen Island penny token. It was part of a group lot that I bid on because another lot I bought was cheaper than I expected so I thought I had "spare" funds. It's become a purchase I'm really glad I made - I thought it was pretty rough at first, but looking at others makes me think it's not that bad at all. Plus, it was made only a few miles from where I live.

Does anyone know how many were made?

    If I am one of the lucky ones, my preference would be: 2, 6, 7, 1, 4, 5, 3.

Thank you donors for your generosity. :woot:

My brother-in-law is very good friends with a local jeweler. I love gold and silver so I went with him to look for an engagement band. The guy knows very little about coins, but I was shocked to be let into his vault to find bags upoan bags of peace and Morgan dollars. He let me go through a bit of his hoard of gold half eagles. I was a kid on Christmas, he even threw me a 1921 Morgan AND Peace dollar. Probably because he just souls my brother in law a $2500 ring. Favorite silver is free silver.

Thanks to the whole gang making this giveaway so exciting.
