    First, welcome to the neighborhood!

This is the wrong place to be asking your question. This is the CONTEST forum. It would be best for you to start your own thread in the US COIN or WORLD COIN forum. ~ Chris

I tried unsuccessfully to post yesterday so I believe this is my ENTRY POST but if one of my efforts sneaked through, forgive me.

I would prize ANY of the US half dollars.
I found this ring recently while metal detecting. There is a coin mounted on the face of the ring that resembles a Mayan calendar. (Note the number and strength of the prongs holding the coin on EIGHT PRONGS! Never seen one with 8 prongs somebody wanted it to stay attached )

But when you look inside the ring you will see a face. We are 99% certain the face is Father Miguel Hidalgo, called THE FATHER OF MEXICO. Hidalgo, a national hero, led THE MEXICAN REVOLUTION. He was executed by firing squad in 1811
There is an archeologist who wants to examine it 278FD1C3-E59C-45DF-B4F0-C209C2D3DC83.jpeg 9A68996C-7A0A-40C9-B779-248ADBB6437E.jpeg 1F733486-4323-425B-938A-2977CD91912A.jpeg

Think about it....where were you when you got word that Kennedy got shot? I was in 5th grade and another teacher came in the room and said "President Kennedy has been shot". At that time there was no further news. We were all shocked, of course. Later, I realized that America had had a coup, of sorts. We will probably never know the truth of the whole story. Sorry if the mods may have to pull this one for being political, I see it as historical. I do recall that we all loved JFK back then, and it was a real bummer that he got killed. Gotta love a Kennedy half.

Nope! There's nothing weird going on with this 21 Morgan (it was, however cleaned with a pencil eraser by my uncle back in the early 70's) Its my key ring/pocket coin. I wanted to post something and its the only coin picture I have on my computer at work!!

I don't think you'll have to post again for the entry, but to be sure, ask Rob @lordmarcovan .
