So it was LALA(Means I Like You) instead of love you. I didn't connect the dots.

 

Nope. The only purpose for the reference to LALAland was to let everyone know that it didn't matter where the winner lived.....here, overseas and even at funny farms.

Well then I was looking for a deeper meaning than what was intended.The LALA in caps threw me.

There really is a song by the Delphonics, Lala(Means I Love You).

I kind of feel like the crackdown over the last few years on contests being "numismatically related" has kinda killed these types of things...and frankly the whole section in general.

 

Looked like it was fun.

 

Not as much fun as Dak's gold contest

It was a lot of fun, and some of the comments were hilarious.

One other contest I ran was a cryptogram, and you had to decipher the text.

I did see something similar just last week. Didn’t @Kirkuleez hold it? I couldn’t figure out what in the world was going on until it was too late and it was all over! But it looked very silly and fun. It moved very fast - like a pop-up or flash contest.

 

I would love for someone to hold another contest. I learn so much from other people’s guesses.

 

Maybe you could hold a contest and then we can learn from other people's guesses.Or better yet instead of waiting you can go through all past threads.

 

I have been doing that. I’ve already gone back to the year 2012 in some of the topics. Thank goodness for the search bar. I can put any keyword in and a topic pops up.

Welcome to CT, @Imjustkk! I did not hold my first give away until I had been a CT member for about 5 months. I entirely stressed over what to include as prizes. I think when i do another give-away it will be a pop-up.
