Loaded Grain Train with only two units only the CSX, A company who understands horsepower vs tonage on 1 or 2 percent grade should know what power is needed to pull a hill or before trying the grade smartest thing to do to avoid train delays add the helpers before pulling hill. Management decision but you got to guide them through the moves to make them think it was their idea...........or use DP, is a train with engines on both ends before departing terminal.

 

I was wondering about the engine on both sides theory .

 

You can control the rear engines from the lead unit with buttons on control stand.
