Here are the rules:
1. To enter write "ENTRY POST" at the beginning of your post and show us any coin, token, hobo nickel of your choice
2. You are limited to ONE entry post. Multiple entries will all be disqualified.
3. The winner will be selected by random number generator. Your entry number will be your post number (if the generator picks a non entry post, I will run it until there is a winner). and to be clear I will have 3 winners
4. Only U.S. addresses please.
5. Please have at least 50 coin-related postings to Coin Talk to enter.
6. You may pick a young collector to receive the prize.
7. For young collectors, please have your parent/guardian’s permission to enter.
8. Contest will run until midnight eastern time September 5th 2021 the drawing will be on Labor day September 6th 2021.

Very generous!! You're very kind for putting these kinds of events on. This site is my own little coin club.

If I win, I'd want the nickel, even over the dime!
Here is an 1891 Argentina 2 centavos. Very attractive design which looks like it could have been ripped straight from the United States. And some cool die cracks too!

I really like those ANA medals. Wish I could go to the conventions.

Since the date of the drawing happens to be my birthday here's a birthday present of mine from a few years ago.

 

Thanks! The only ones I have are the 1969-1982 3-medal sets. I acquired them from auctions on eBay. Those are the only years that the ANA distributed the 3-medal sets.

 

I thought you told me once you had quite a number of them from your own travels. Perhaps I was mistaken. Either way, pretty cool

 

Here is the entire collection (42 medals) which were imaged by Bob Campbell aka @robec . He did an excellent job!

Yes, this is what I was speaking of. For whatever reason, I thought the date range was wider. He did do a good job with those photos, which is why they stuck in my head well enough to remember!

Here's a pic of my million dollar find. I was so fortunate to have looked down at the right moment while walking in a parking lot. I know there are no other errors like this one. No way can these markings be the same on any other coin. I feel like I just hit the lottery! Oh joy! !)



All you haters can keep your opinions to yourselves. When I'm shown on the news headlines as the finder of this beautiful million dollar error coin I'll be the one laughing all the way to the old retirement home.
