Forgot to post a picture. Tagging @HoledandCreative and
@lordmarcovan . These two collectors have some really
interesting collections. After revueing previous posts I see that I am
the second collector to tag @lordmarcovan . I'll also tag @Siberian Man
who has an impressively large foreign coin collection.

Who cares! The contest isn't, "He who has the most toys, wins!" It just happens to be one of the requirements for participation.

Oops. I forgot to post a photo of something coin-related. Chalk it up to prepping for a colonoscopy and endoscopy today. I'll spare y'all the details :nurse: .

This is a set of twelve silver commemorative rounds about Norway's experience during WW II, titled "Norge I Krig." They were a gift from my "honorary parents" in Norway, a couple that "adopted" me when I was a college foreign exchange student in 1969. Having no children of their own, my family has become their family. "Mom" is approaching 91, suffering from some dementia, and two weeks ago was forced to leave her home, unwillingly but necessary, for a nursing home. She's been a widow for a decade. During my approximately forty trips to Norway their home was always HQ, even though my relatives live a half hour away.

They are likely only worth melt value, but are nevertheless "precious metals" to me. fullsizeoutput_11eb.jpeg fullsizeoutput_11e9.jpeg fullsizeoutput_11ea.jpeg
Tagging at @Johndakerftw; although "north of the Border," she's a good egg!

The thing that marvels me about this thread is the variety of storage and display methods shown. Us coin nuts tend to store coins in some creative ways. I am so completely jealous of @NPCoin display desk that I just may have to plagiarize that one.

    sonlarson World Silver Collector

    Entry, just for fun.

I have a record of just about every coin I own. Just one db on individual World coins exceeds 1,000 coins. That does not include the mint and proof sets. U.S sets and various other items. Since I have been collecting for over 50 years, there's a lot. I would hazard a guesstimate of 10,000 plus.

Almost as many coins as books and ducks. 20130902_1.JPG 20130126_6.JPG

    Gotta tag @Hiddendragon

Entry post-thanks for doing this, great idea
I finally have all my best World, Ancient and US coins on an Excel spreadsheet and they total 1590, and here is a pic of my World and US coins that are dated 1950-1990 in tubes by region and they are over 2200 in number if my math is right- Coins in Tubes.jpg I'm tagging @spirityoda and I'm guessing that this thread will total 1.25 million coins (since you were at 770K earlier)
