Just occurred to me, Del Mar was the first place I lived in CA in the apartments behind the train station.

Frankly, I'm a bit surprised at the somewhat lukewarm response to this very generous contest. Maybe ancient Greek coins are too esoteric for a lot of folks, but... c'mon... seventeen of them? With some very cool types included? There's well over a hundred bucks worth of stuff in here!

Oh well. I digress. That just improves the odds for those who did enter.

And we have a winner. Our lucky number is...

    6!

And Post #6 was by... @Kentucky!

Congratulations, @Kentucky ! I will need your shipping address, and your patience, since it might take me a little while to package 'em up and ship 'em. I will, though.

And many thanks to the gracious "Alexander Del Mar" who donated these.

Also- a nod at @Theodosius, who also has donated some nice ancients for a giveaway that I have not as yet posted. Stay tuned for that. I'll get that one going when I've got time.

Thanks for running another cool contest!

Maybe announcing and linking these contests in the ancient and world coin forums as well would make more people aware of them?

It was remiss of me not to thank Alexander del Mar for his donation and, of course, always thanks to m'Lord.
