That's Awesome, you know I found a cliped panlchet once in circulation I think it was 1961 d penny. it was just like like that penny you got but it was copper.
The 2000-D Cent looks off to me... the Blakeslee Effect doesn't quite look right. Generally, I expect the effect to be more of a soft rubbing, it looks like a clamp grabbed it. http://dniewcollectors.blogspot.com/2012/04/blakesley-effect-on-clip-error-coins.html "If it appears the details are lacking in that area and the rim appears flat, then it is more than likely that you have a genuine clipped planchet error." Yours seem to be pinched and the metal bulges out. I'm of the impression they are not genuine but I'd like to hear from some of the experts. @furryfrog02 @paddyman98 @Paddy54 @cpm9ball
@Seattlite86 This is what I see.. the 2 clips are placed at the correct position where the other 2 blanks would of been punched out of. Remember the Blank was not clipped itself but the sheet that is being punched. Also. I don't think anyone would put the effort into faking something like this. The Blaksley Effect looks fine to me IMHO
Boy what a great deal. at the coin shop I go to the guy sells the endian head pennies for $0.50 and there not even clipped. So you got a good deal for a Quarter.
