@Jersey magic man This is a tough one to call for me. First, the Blakesley Effect isn't always present on clips. However, I think I see a very slight weakness of the rim between the "T" and the "Y" on the obverse and between the "R" of DOLLAR and the second "A" of AMERICA on the reverse. I could be wrong. Maybe someone else will chime in. Chris
@cpm9ball So that slight increase in wall thickness is a clue to this being a real clip. I was looking for something a little more dramatic. Thanks.
https://www.cointalk.com/threads/1972-kennedy-clipped.320073/ My JFK clipped has some Blakesley but I’ve seen less on larger clips
It is there. Look at edge from 180 Degrees of clip, the edge should be a bit thinner. Better yet post a photo of it.
I see that if you zoom in on the original picture posted you see the rim has been effected and is wider at 180 degrees from the clip. Thanks everyone for the info and opinions. Will add to my clip collection.
With a clip of that size I would have expected a much greater Blakesley Effect. I'm thinking "No" to it being a clip.
