The Olympiad coin has two varieties. These were minted for one year only. One where the right foot of the dancer touches the Olympic ring and the other variety where the foot doesn't touch the ring. One is more valuable than the other and commands a premium. I'd have to look in my Krause as to which one has the premium and HTF variety.

The Cuauhtemoc coin was only minted for two years. *sigh* I'll now have to pull out my big ole' heavy Krause, lol.

If I remember correctly, there's something about the snake's tongue (straight or curved) and the middle Olympic ring being lower in some varieties as well... My Krause is at home! :)

Maybe one of these days on the Olympic stuff. Believe me I've seen them for years and they tend to go cheap.
A LOT of world coins go cheap actually. The Un Pesos that I saw may end up at the refinery I'm afraid.

I really only buy World if I really like the design SO much I have to have it. I know I have at least one more 50 Centavos around here somewhere but the color on this one is outstanding so I got it.

Have a few hundred BU 20 Centavos as well as a healthy stash of Irish Hen pennies.

A dark side you never knew I had. Beautiful copper does odd things to me. ;)

Clembo, I have some of the Irish Hen pennies too, just got them last month. I'm looking for the rare one with the extra chick.

My grandmother, who absolutely loved Mexico and all things Mexican, had a rather extensive collection of Mexican coins from about the 1950's to the 1980's. I inherited them and they're a favorite part of my collection. Especially love all the big silver pesos of the 1940's and 1950's.

I am already thinking of what Lincolns I can bear to part with now that the market is screaming so I can get into some darkside stuff.

    LOL!

    Perhaps Jack but not clembo.

If I can walk into the shop and not buy U.S. all day then World shouldn't be a problem.

Now if I knew I could profit enough to get them for free........
