I am not a coin collector, so this is all new to me. I'm looking to purchase some coin holders similar to one I already have, but I've been unable to locate this particular item. I have a collectible coin (not legal tender, a 1990 Sturgis commemorative coin) that came in a 2-piece, clear, round, rigid coin holder that has a seam going all the way around the edge (in the center of the edge) of the holder. This was then placed in a velvet lined box. I recently purchased off of eBay some holders made by Kointainer (or at least that's what the seller said). They were separated into zip-loc sandwich bags of bottoms and tops, were very flexible, not particularly round, and could be squeezed by hand to easily make them crush. Some had a blueish tint to them and others were clear. Again, maybe they were counterfeit containers but I don't really know. Does anyone know of the rigid containers of which I speak? Also, does the product that I purchased sound like the ones made by Kointainer. The reason I'm looking for this item is that I manufacture keychains and the rigid containers would be perfect for my business after filling with various thin items.
