There are books and accepted methods for conserving coins or any other artifacts found buried in the ground or under the sea. Just about any good archelologist knows them. But that&#039;s quite different from conserving coins in the manner we are talking about. As just about any coin, except fairly pure gold, found in the sea or the ground will be corroded to some extent. And no amount of conservation can ever change that.
