    TIF Always learning.

CNG's e-auctions usually have plenty of participants and fairly strong prices so I wouldn't worry. This will probably be one of the featured coins in their emailings and that always brings additional interest.

You're right, TIF. I've won several coins in CNG e-auctions and every one was a battle! I guess it's just pride: if it was good enough for a public auction a year ago, why isn't it good enough now...

Here's my 'Spanish-style' Claudius dupondius for comparison.

I'd agree that the Rome mint portraits can be more artistic, but I think the various styles have their own charm.

The deity is Ceres, so it's a flaming hockey stick.

Nice coin ro1974! Actually those are all some very nice coins! I had my eye on a Claudius Dupondius a little while back, but just took a day to long to pull the trigger and someone else swooped it up. Still regret missing out on that one.

It was actually the type you have, Minerva brandishing a spear reverse, @ro1974. It was a little out of my budget at the time and that's why I waffled on picking it up.

Wow, some very nice coins of Claudius here. I am still looking for one to add to my Twelve Caesars collection.
