Clad missing? 1981 p penny

    This is a weird looking quarter. The only shine to it is around the rim where the copper shows. Was this an error at the mint or done afterwards?

    I agree. Environmental Damage. Not a Mint Error.

    The normal-ish edge - is that just natural re-scrubbing off of the damage there?

    Environmental damage is none other than a terminally toned coin. The soil can sometimes bond to the coin and flake off, which is what happened to this token I found. IMG_0001.JPG
