Hello everyone! New thread here or so I think. Circulation finds (from just about anywhere). I got this 1964 Nickel from a store this past weekend. The reverse looks scratched below the building but after looking at it more closely, it (unknown force) appears to have been done at the mint but if you all say PMD, then so be it. LOL. Please post some of your recent or past circulation finds.
Wow, most of the 1964s I see now (and, for that matter, most I saw in the 1960s) have ramps instead of stairs. Wonder if this is a proof somebody spent?
I was wondering that myself. Then again, I was also wondering where the Handicap entrance is since I use a cane and would like to visit.
I found two 1999 WAM's searching bank rolls....VERY LUCKY finds, took decades of searching to find 2.
I found this in change, once. Then the dang alarm clock went off and I woke up to find it was no longer there. .
Ah, 50 years ago. I remember asking my brother about the 40% Kennedys (sometime before 1972), and he said "yeah, they have silver, but not enough to be worth more than face value." And at the time, he was right. Even when the silver was worth a little more than face value, fifty cents per coin was a lot of money for a little kid to tie up.
Nothing too spectacular, but I did upgrade my circulated folder collection with this AU partial steps 85-P I found in my change the other day.
That threw me at first, too. It’s apparently the background he put the coin on top of. Then he closely circle-cropped the pics but left just that tiny bit of the background showing.
Only cool piece I picked up in change was a V-nickel that was worn so slick that you could barely make out that it was a V-nickel. Came from a coastal watering hole a few years back. Heaven knows what I did with the thing.
